Pamela Petty - Managing Director
As a child, Pamela was aware of the business her father, John, had created, but never fully realised the scale of the success that he had managed to achieve. She did not set her sights on joining the company when starting her professional career. Pamela won her first position at Ebac in 1986 after a spell with in the accounts department of a fellow County Durham company.
At Ebac, Pamela soon showed she had inherited her father's curiosity and inventiveness. She began developing new processes to help the Ebac Group grow. Her first big tangible contribution was to modernise the old 'clock card' system.
Her success saw her promoted to head up the Group's IT Projects. Here she oversaw the introduction of Ebac's first Resource Planning and Management system, and introduced an internal Unix-based email system in 1992.
Pamela was appointed Manufacturing Director in 1997 and immediately began developing new processes to bring down production cycles. Her leadership allowed the Group’s manufacturing business to buck the UK trend and successfully compete with overseas manufacturing companies. Her part in developing Ebac’s production system and processes saw her appointed Group Managing Director in 2003.

Margaret Elliott - HR Director
Margaret Elliott, like her husband John, is Bishop Auckland born and bred. She claims all her job titles sound 'posh for someone with no formal accreditations', but Margaret has been with Ebac since its inception, and has played a large part in its success.
After holding virtually every role in the company, she officially became Personnel Manager in 1988. She has been responsible for much of the Group's inventive HR strategies, such as the Annual Hours scheme in 1992, and she helped the company to gain Investors in People status in 2000.
A former school governor, Margaret remains involved in a number of community projects and is a mentor for local school children.

Amanda Hird - Manufacturing Director
The youngest daughter of Ebac Group founder, John Elliott, Amanda has early memories of spending weekends playing in the office while John and mum Margaret worked to develop the business.
Amanda joined the Group in 1984, and planned to be with the company for two weeks immediately after finishing school. However, she never found the Ebac back door and had been with the company ever since.
She has held a number of positions in virtually all areas of the business over the past two decades which has helped her develop an extensive knowledge of the company and manufacturing industry.
Never given preferential treatment, Amanda has worked her way up in the corporate structure, and was selected to head up the Forecast and Demand Management team in 1999. She was appointed to the board as Manufacturing Director four years later.

Philip Walton - Technical Director
Ebac employee number four, Philip Walton, has been instrumental in developing the start-up company into a £30M business. A keen 'fixer of things', Philip's interest in mechanics and engineering saw him become Manufacturing Manager in 1980, and appointed to the board as Director of Product Development in 1984.
He has always been an early adopter of new technology and pioneered the use of CAD software in the early 80s. Philip has been instrumental in developing many of Ebac's patents for dehumidifiers and watercoolers, and now heads up Ebac’s research and development department.
