Milestones

1972 -    Ebac Ltd is founded when John Elliott takes an order to build industrial dehumidifiers suited to the UK climate

1975 -    Develops its first timber dryer

1979 -    The company reaches its first million pound turnover

1980 -    Produces a domestic dehumidifier designed especially for the UK climate

1982 -    Ebac Industrial Products Division formed

1984 -    Ebac Ltd begins operations in USA

1988 -    Owner and Chairman John Elliott receives an MBE for Services to Small Business

1993 -    Ebac enters the European watercooler market

1994 -    Launches the WaterTrailTM system for watercoolers

1995 -    Launches patented SmartTM defrost system for dehumidifiers

1996 -    Ebac Industrial Products designs air conditioning for the London Underground Jubilee Line

1997 -    Ebac Group Ltd is formed. The Group opens offices in France and Germany

2000 -    Launches 'Eddy', Ebac's first watercooler designed for home use

2003 -    Ebac Ltd launches the patented SmartTM Control system for dehumidifiers

2004 -    Ebac signs 6-year deal with Nestle Waters to become its sole supplier of watercoolers in Europe

Develops SlimCool, a floor-standing watercooler designed for home use

2005 -    Ebac Waterfall Ltd is formed and set to open its first Waterfall Spa in Leeds in the autumn 

Bottled Water Direct, Ebac's home water delivery service, launches in the UK's North East

Ebac relaunch in France and Italy
