Employment Policies

The Company is an Equal Opportunities employer and employment is open equally to all people regardless of race, age, sex, religion or disability.  It is our policy that wherever practicable, people with disabilities should
work alongside their able bodied counterparts.

We provide genuine employment opportunities for all people irrespective of their diverse backgrounds and other qualities.  We will ensure that every applicant or employee is assessed for employment, promotion and development solely on the basis of personal merit and qualifications.

We will ensure that objective, consistent and fair procedures are used in every aspect of the employment relationship with all employees.

The Company will ensure that all employees will be paid equally for the same or broadly similar nature of work. The Equal pay Act 1970 as amended by the Sex Discrimination Acts 1975 and 1986 provides that a woman has the right to treatment equal to that given to a man where the woman is employed.

The Equal Pay (Amendment) Regulations 1983 provide for a woman to seek equal pay with a named male comparator in the same employment engaged in dissimilar work on the grounds that the work done, although different, is an equal value in terms of the demands that it makes. Where the two jobs are of equal value, an employer can justify difference in pay only where the variation in basic pay is genuinely due to a material factor, which is not the difference of sex.
