Western Europe's leading manufacturer of bottled watercoolers, UK-based Ebac Ltd announces it will be launching a point-of-use cooler early in 2006.

The cooler design and functionality are based on Western Europe's best selling bottled watercooler, the E-MaxTM, and fitted with Ebac's market leading WaterTrailTM sanitation system. It will be the first point-of-use unit on the market that comes with a 100% hygiene guarantee after every sanitisation.

The new cooler will be available in 'hot and cold' and 'cook and cold' versions or to individual specification. The hot and cold version features an easily detachable 1.1 litre hot tank, which is vacuum sealed for optimal energy efficiency.

Ebac's WaterTrailTM is a disposable sanitisation system, where all parts that come into contact with water are manufactured as one disposable unit. The system makes the sanitisation process easy, and takes less than five minutes to complete, with no chemicals or long training sessions required. Open the watercooler lid, pull out the old WaterTrailTM and replace it with a new one.

"Entering the POU market represents a significant step for us. Earlier this year our customers began pressing hard for a POU-cooler fitted with the WaterTrailTM, so we have had to re-prioritise our development work in order to have this product ready for the new year," says Ebac Chairman John Elliott MBE.

"We aim to use our existing knowledge and experience in the bottled watercooler industry to introduce the benefits of the WaterTrailTM to the POU cooler market. Our primary aim with this initial offering is to satisfy the needs of our current customer base and allow them to reap the benefits of using our sanitation system across all their stock - bottled and point-of-use," says Global Product Manager John Hale.

Ebac's first POU cooler is fitted with a 1 micron carbon block to filter out any particles and reduce chlorine taste and odour. The standard cooler is fitted with white panels and is available in a variety of colour options, a hidden drip tray with optional drainage and an integrated cup holder for 120 cups.
