Waterfall Spa Launch - a dazzling affair
< Back to Latest News Listings
Excitement was in the air last Friday, as Waterfall Spa, the exclusive ladies-only luxury day spa located in the heart of the city's trendy Brewery Wharf, opened its doors for a glamorous launch event with guests including Nell McAndrew.
The who’s who of Yorkshire, including Leeds-born model Nell, were welcomed by a dazzling laser light display illuminating the night sky. A concierge was on hand to meet and greet the guests on a specially commissioned pink carpet and escort them into the luxurious pamper palace of Waterfall Spa.
Drinks were supplied by an expert cocktail bartender, and guests feasted on fine gourmet cuisine such as fois gras with balsamic beetroot, mascarpone risotto and wild salmon tartare. Music was provided by The Jazz Dynamos, who have entertained Sir Paul McCartney on more than a few occasions.
Nell, who attended the party with her family, was delighted with the relaxed atmosphere of the spa, saying: "As Leeds lass, I'm delighted that Waterfall is on my doorstep. I'm really looking forward to visiting the spa to enjoy some serious pampering."
MD of Waterfall Pamela Elliott, who hosted last Friday's party, says: "Waterfall Spa is all about creating an indulgent space to get away from it all, and the launch event was no exception. We wanted all our guests to feel like a million dollars, and we really pushed the boat out to make the launch of the country's first Waterfall Spa a night to remember."
Leeds pipped Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow and Birmingham to host the first Waterfall Spa thanks, adds Pamela, due to the city's prime riverside investment portfolio and entrepreneurial credentials.
The spa will boast six personal treatment rooms, offering more than 50 innovative pampering treatments, a super spa with several water massage facilities, a Rasual mud chamber, a tropicarium and an aromatherapy steam room.
It will also feature a soothing relaxation lounge, a champagne and smoothie bar and a gourmet cafe with a mouth watering chocolate waterfall centrepiece. Expert one-to-one tuition in yoga and relaxation techniques will also be available to guests. "Our guests will be able to enjoy the ultimate in pampering and relaxation at Waterfall and we will ensure their every whim is answered," Pamela adds.
A restricted number of 25 guests per day will be able to enjoy the Waterfall experience, allowing for personal staff attention and creating a peaceful and intimate atmosphere.
Waterfall Spa opens to the public on 29th October. For more information, please visit www.waterfallspa.co.uk or call 0800 73 11995.
